Color Moodboard: Koi

A deep orange is the perfect pick for a wedding reminiscent of stunning sunsets.

In the recent years, orange has become a favorite choice for wedding motif, since it easily lends cheer to the celebration. If you're thinking of using orange for your own big day, you can opt for Koi, which is among Pantone's list of colors for Fall 2013. Koi, named after the Japanese fish, is a deep shade that's reminiscent of beautiful sunsets.

Koi makes a dramatic impact, and can create a warm and inviting ambiance. A warm color would complement Koi nicely--you can opt for beige if you're having a morning celebration, and chocolate brown for an evening affair. A light green, like chartreuse, will look even more refreshing when paired with Koi. If you're unafraid to use color, go for a bold pairing like Koi and magenta.
