NYAPS* has been in the business since 2005, but the company was officially formed only in 2011. Jeff Bernardo shares, "Ramon and I put up NYAPS* as a portrait studio while we were still in college in 2005. Louie, a travel and street photographer, joined the team in 2010. It was around this time when we decided to venture to wedding photography."

Modern-meets-classic is NYAPS*' signature style in taking pictures. "We add a modern and creative touch while maintaining the classic and timeless appeal of the photos. The combination of good lighting and the natural expressions of the couple creates perfect balance which is what our style is all about," says the team. Their instinct and eye for detail result to photographs that exude warmth. The NYAPS* team also pays special attention to the different emotions in a wedding, and so even the fleeting moments are highlighted in photos.

To prepare for a wedding or a prenuptial shoot, the team establishes rapport with their clients. By doing so, they foster a fun vibe during the photo sessions. Shares Jeff, "Though we like shooting spontaneous moments, we still offer guidance to our clients to help them pose more comfortably. In addition, we bring our own personalities to the shoots. We chat with our clients, crack jokes with them, and even make ourselves look silly during the shoot. We want our brides and grooms to feel happy and carefree in our presence." By going that extra mile, they win the hearts of their clients, and put even the shy ones at ease.

Continuously researching on new techniques keeps the team's skills sharp. "We read books and surf the Net to brush up on our techniques--and when we do pick up something that fits our style, we try to apply and practice it on our next shoot. As artists, we keep ourselves inspired by looking at the works of other amazing local and international photographers, whether they're into weddings or not," shares the team.

NYAPS* hopes for a bright future. Says the team, "We aim to make more couples happy with our work. We want to be known worldwide as one of the best Filipino wedding photographers."
