Karla and Blue's unconventional wedding theme was inspired by one episode of the hit TV series Friends. In that episode, Phoebe explains to Rachel that she should stick with her boyfriend because "she's his lobster." And then Phoebe says, "It's a known fact that lobsters fall in love and mate for life. You can actually see old lobster couples walking around their tank, you know, holding claws..."

Karla and Blue made their wedding unique by incorporating the quotable line in their celebration. The couple chose red--the lobsters' color--for their wedding details; flowers, décor, dresses, and other accessories came in the vibrant hue. Karla took the theme a step further by wearing a lobster pendant with her ensemble. Moreover, through their grand entrance to the party venue, the couple showed their guests how they could "hold claws" like lobsters: Blue held Karla in his arms as they waded through shallow water.

Indeed, Karla and Blue proved that a seemingly silly quote can perfectly define their wonderful relationship.
