When Jong and Monique got married, they embraced each other's differences and similarities.

They first met when working as top executives of two rival events companies, and often found themselves pitted against each other in bids. Later on, they put corporate rivalry aside when their companies eventually merged--and soon, romance blossomed.

Their faith in God also brought them together: the both held a strong belief in Christ as the sole source of love and happiness.

Jong and Monique celebrated their Christ-centered relationship by incorporating small but meaningful details in their wedding. This is best seen in their cake topper--a pair of salt and pepper shakers with the biblical verse "In Christ Alone" to assert that only Christ can bring flavor to people's lives. The unusual toppers symbolize their shared faith and individual uniqueness. After all, Monique and John are very much like salt and pepper--totally different from each other, yet always found together.
