Harry Potter-inspired Weddings
The movie Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 was the last of the series on the big screen, but your love for HP doesn’t have to end there. If you and your groom are fans of the books or the movies, you can incorporate some magical elements into your special day--check out ideas from these couples with Harry Potter-inspired weddings!
Bella Swan’s Wedding Dress
Another major release this year is the first part of Breaking Dawn, the last book of the Twilight series. One of the highlights of the book is Bella Swan and Edward Cullen’s wedding, and the dress for the onscreen nuptials is one of the things that the fans anticipate seeing. Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella, tells MTV about the mystery dress.
Another Royal Wedding
Zara Philips, Queen Elizabeth II’s granddaughter, recently tied the knot with English rugby player Mike Tindall. The wedding took place in Edinburgh, and it was Scotland’s first royal wedding in 20 years. Guests in attendance included Prince Charles and Camilla, Prince William and Catherine, and Prince Harry, BBC reports.
A Look Back on Diana and Charles’ Wedding
The world watched as Catherine Middleton and Prince William tied the knot, and their wedding is one that people will remember for ages. This year also marked the 30th year since Prince Charles married Lady Diana Spencer, and Shine at Yahoo! looks back on that special day, July 29, 1981.
